Kumon of Citrus park is open on Mondays & Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm. Students are expected to attend the center on both these days where they spend 15-30 minutes on each subject that they are enrolled in. During this time they will complete their assigned class work and supplemental activities. Center Routine: Check-in Students check-in, complete a transfer of their previous week’s homework for grading and recording of scores with the upcoming week’s homework. Complete Assigned Class work After check-in, students start to work on their assigned class work. Students are normally assigned 5-10 worksheets a day and this is decided based on the lesson-planning and the goals assigned and agreed upon by the instructor and the student. Supplemental Activities Students hand their class work to the assistants for grading. While their class work is being graded students work on the assigned supplemental activities. Corrections Student’s will correct any mistakes on their own and take it to the assistant until they score a 100%. This is to help students learn from their mistakes and ensure that accuracy matters when completing their work. Feedback Once all their work is completed students meet with the instructor to give and get feedback about their work. This will give the instructor the opportunity to praise and reward the student for their work. This also helps the instructor to talk to the student about the work they have done and if any changes have to be made in lesson planning & goals.
